@V Patel Hi I got one in June 2024 when my father was dying. There are two categories for emergency. First one is under 30 days I believe and it needs to be an emergency ‼️ not just a really bad situation which you need to request an expidite of the 131 and not an emergency and this can take 1-2 months. You need to contact them first, not by courier. I am pasting the information below from USCIS. They will schedule an in person appointment at your field office. An expidite can be done without an in person appointment. The emergency 131 is created on the spot and is only good for a period of time and is for one trip only. Just so you know, they don’t grant these easily. My father died within one week of me getting it and I had two letters from his doctors.
