to me I think it’s safe,I have used it 12 times and still counting.never had any issues with it or immigration

Just don't be nervous at the airport with the officers and you'll be fine. You might go to secondary inspection but that's just protocol. Show no fear and you'll be in and out quick. Make sure you keep at least 2 hours between flights to have time to move around.
