it was free. I originally wrote expedite on my 131 form and attached a letter and evidence of my father’s illness. I believe the agent overlooked it and my attempt to contact them, made them pay attention to the request.

@NP marlin I had already attached a letter to my initial 131 submission. I believe they forgot to look at it and contacting them made them realize I had requested an expedite when I submitted the application.
