Administrative Processing
Hello,
My parents had an interview at the US embassy in Amman, Jordan 27 July 2023 for R5 visa and my mother’s was approved but my father’s visa required administrative processing (yellow slip) with no missing any documents just asking for more information. I submitted the requested information on 28 July 2023’ but am still waiting for a response.
Any advice please?

if you file the ds5535 it takes more time like 90-180 days

@DioM D Hello, I received an email from the embassy saying the administration process is completed and asking for the passport. I dropped it off on 10/31. The case online still hasn’t been updated from “Refused” status.
Is the case going to be updated when the visa is issued? How many days will take for a visa issued?

@Marcado US that’s great news. the status should go back to ready and next or 2 days should be issued then you can go pick it up.
keep monitor to see the status the last person who was out of AP took to him 3 weeks to get back his passport

My husband was placed on AP. we took in the 2 missing documents the following week and they took his passport at the same time. wondering if this means he’s getting the visa or if this is normal.

@Molly Cormack this is a normal process after you submit a missing documents, they will issue the visa.
