Administrative processing means that they are putting your case under investigation or background check, or they are going to ask you for more proof of relationship. Every case processing time is different, mine lasted for 8 months. Its like a black hole, no one knows how long its gonna take, a week, a month or a year.

Nique Tabouri every case is different, couples that live in same country might have house visit, for your case they might ask for more RFE, and call you on another interview. In my case I was waiting for 8 months, they called me and issue the visa at the moment, they didnt ask me for anything. Just have patience and faith and wait. If you wait for 6 months and have no call, I suggest you call the embacy or send an email.

@Nique Tabouri not the first time, they told me that my case must go under administrative processing, I was waiting for 8 months and there was no call or email, so I emailed the embassy myself, asking for an update on my case, and if they need more proof or some other papers from me. Two days after my email they called me to go back to the embassy and just bring my passport. They didnt asked me amything, just congratulate and said I was approved.

my husband case is on administrative processing but his case is cr1 its been six months already since the documents has been submitted but still nothing

I even email lots of time to the embassy but always get the same reply they told me my husband case was sent from which country he was interview to USA for more reviewing I even email uscis but no reply

keep sending emails, say that you and your husband are separated and that affects your life and mental health, just keep sending emails

@nilufa be my husband's country is algeria. is your husband from one of the counties as on the lost that requires admin processing? also do they have to send the passport to uscis after interview?

T S --I almost send email every 2 to 3 weeks but I get same response also the embassy he was interviewed they told me my husband case was sent back to USA uscis office they said that you should contact them from any inquiries

no they didn't they said you need to submit the documents that was requested after that we will process if you're case is approved you will get a email or if it's denied you will get email also now that it's has been six months they saying they send the case to the USA for more reviewing
