I never heard that. someone here has been waiting over a year. A parent but still an immediate relative which goes through the same process

each case is different. i keep reading on a facebook page a lawyer posts a lot of administrative cases get approved this month

his names on facebook is Ghassan 4 immigration

Hi @Yasser Salah What was the reason for this AP ? Was that the first time she applied for a US visa ?

I have been waiting for 8 months now

refused since January

I hopefully we all overcome administrative process this month

@z qasem i did i get the same response that the case is on Administrative Processing

@Maximus Spaniard officer request a ds-5535 and don't know why taking to long to get out of that process

all it says is ds-5535 and ap

mines since feb 11 Djibouti embassy for my wife. 3 kids all US citizens and still gave her AP and DS5535

are they updating your case

@salman h i have 5 children's all us citizen 2 of them in middle school in NY still not help us to get out of that administrative processing

for me they check in both DS-5535 and security screening in the yellow sheet. And even me I have a child whos a US citizen.

@z qasem Thanks. And yah they checked in both security screening and DS-5535. Yes I emailed them and the senator emailed them too, but it always say that my case refused under the section 221g . And my last email was about 2weeks before their email.But I don't think it's because of my email.

oh okay that nice I think it’s because of the email you did because usually they see the email and they update the case can you please let me know what you wrote in the email

I haven’t emailed them it been 2 months and I’m planning to send email please tell me so I can do a same email

@z qasem I told them that my case was refused under the section 221g for 6 months with no changes so I want to make sure what is the last staute of my case.

wait why do they give administration processing is there anyway to avoid it when doing your interview…?

also if you have an interview for the first time, should you fill out the ds5535 and take it with you just in case…?

@Sam P I did as you said and upload it in CEAC site before the interview with one week and had a copy with me and when the consular asked me to fill it out the I told her that I already did but she was like fill it again online.

I got a email to drop off my passport. How long will it take until they give me the passport back

did you email them they replied to drop off or they emailed you by them self

No i didnt email them and they updated my case twice then gave me a email

The first update was the 4th then the second was the 9th. Then the 11th is where i got a email

I don’t know wallah but they are calling people out to drop their passports I was interviewed Jan 11 and nothing new

@m r My wife was interviewed Feb 13 still under AP ds5535. pleas update us if you hear something next few months…

yes that’s I’m thinking it time for us because we have Ben under processing for more than 8 months now

@Amir jafaee @z qasem why do they make some people fill it ds5535? it it because of missing some forms or why

they give it to us for absolutely no reason whatsoever then they ask for the ds 5535 and ap. basically it means they hold on ur visa and then after that they ask for the passport some people take 6 months some more than 6 months and some more than a year

@z qasem that’s so messed up it shouldn’t even be allowed?? especially when you have been waiting for so long and have all your paper work ready

guys i finally came out of Administration processing about 3 days ago… interview Feb 11 2024 gave my wife yellow slip marked AP and Ds-5535 took about 8 months to come off… what i heard is that this last couple of months from this year they are working on all cases that were put on administrative processing.. inshallah everybody would get there turn before the end of the year
