Adjudicating officer
Hi all,
our AOS is pending and is by now well out of normal processing times. We already submitted a request to expedite around two weeks ago, which is still pending. While my EAD got approved within those mass approvals from last week, my husband‘s EAD is still pending and so is our overall AOS (which for all of us is the end goal to get) as well as our AP.
I just reached out to Emma to hear where we stand. Regarding the request to expedite the agent told me that they have a total of 30 days to make a decision. She also told me our AOS is with an officer, however not if it’s with an adjudicating officer.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Are applications always with an agent? Or only when they come close to be processed? Or is it with an officer because of the request to expedite? I asked those questions to the service agent but conveniently got disconnected. If anyone has a bit of insight and would be so kind to share?
