@liz m thank you I’ll get my husband to check, as our application is under his account.. The lawfully app and case tracker apps are still showing the old information, so you know how long roughly it takes for them to update?

mine updated right away with lawfully. case tracker was slower

maybe it literally just happened, because neither updated yet..

haha I just had to refresh my page in case tracker and it updated, to todays date.. lawfully is a bit behind

Yes, it’s the second time it’s updated to actively reviewed.. First initial reviewed date was 29th January 2021, now updated to 1st October 2021..

good sign! you should see approval soon or in the docs tab if it hasn’t updated yet

We checked our documents tab, the approval was there 😭 my husband and I cried as we did it together over FaceTime

@alena congratulations, it seems the system is slow on updating the status because the approval notices are already in peoples accounts

My case changed to actively reviewing this morning. here is the information I got from USCIS on my email, Your Case Status: Initial Review As of October 4, 2021, we are actively reviewing your Form I130, PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

@w perry @muhammad, can you please let me know if you guys also received similar email last week? Email stating "your case status: initial review" followed by remaining text.
