Salt Lake City office is a joke.Reached out to congressman and they told me to wait till 36 months, that’s the processing time frame. Am beyond livid, and I feel hopeless. I can’t afford the lawyer, we are expecting the twins in couple months so our funds are tight to spare for a lawyer. We would love to continue fighting ourselves, but would appreciate your suggestions.

look into filing a writ of mandamus right now. 823 days is ridiculous this should be done. push your congressman and say on the uscis website the standard processing time is XYZ and this is far too long

Contact USCIS, ask for status update, or also inquiry via local congress. If you cannot wait anymore, you can sue USCIS for a delayed case as a Pro Se. You will get a decision within 60 days. Learn more about it writofmandamususcis.weebly.com

@Yesi SLC Yesterday my 485 went on actively reviewing and my wife got a message that action was taken but we could not seen anything. We have our fingers crossed in few days maybe something could show up

@Davis munk have you checked on the documents tab? we have gotten an RFE for a new medical (I-485) then now they are requesting biometrics on my husband (I-130) who is the petitioner which I find wild 😜

@Yesi SLC That’s so bizarre. Have you contacted the uscis concerned the mixed up? And about medical how long do they last before expiring

@Davis munk yes I submitted a request yesterday for a tier 2 so we’ll see what happens. Apparently if your medical was signed prior to Nov 2023 you will need a new one since they just came out with a new version!
