you need to provide tax returns of at least one year, three years is better, and he needs to make at least 125% of poverty guidelines. since he was a full time student, you need someone who makes that amount of money, a joint sponsor, who’s willing to fill out i864. otherwise you’ll be denied. I’m not an attorney, but these are the rules

@subu g https://www.uscis.gov/i-864 look at the checklist. 2022 is required, but providing past three years is better.

I had the same case where my husband who was sponsoring me was a student and only had a full time job for half of the last tax year we were supposed to provide return for so his father was the joint sponsor and it was all good

@subu g I’m not a lawyer and maybe you should ask a lawyer, they require only 1 year so you should be fine, but I heard that it’s better to provide 3 years of tax returns. the poverty guideline for a household of 2 is around 25K, it also depends if he made only slightly above it or he made a lot more (like 40/50k). I would get a joint sponsor just to make sure.
