Did they give you the ticket? And if you got it recently it won’t show up until after two weeks online where you can have it paid

I just said it up in my comment boss. Yes I was I got a ticket 2019 40/25 school zone and I paid it off didn’t bother going to court

@pratik patel When you get a ticket and a court date, nothing will show on your record until you appear in court and your case is adjudicated upon. Now, if you choose to appear in court, a couple of scenarios might play out. 1. Your case might be outrightly dismissed. 2. You might be asked to pay court fees and placed on probation for 30 days following which if you do not commit any other traffic offense within that period, the particular violation will not show on your record. 3. The judge might set a trail date and if found guilty, you will have to pay the fine and the violation will remain on your record. Another option is to pay the fine without appearing in court as suggested by Kenny. if you opt for this option, the violation will remain on your record for a couple of years and it will affect your Insurance premium. get yourself a tracffic lawyer so he can amend it to something else. having a reckless driver in your record is not good

@Mac Fredrick Exactly because my lawyer said it would have been an issue appearing In court and found guilty I will need paperwork from the court regarding how the judgement went. So I paid it and took a defensive driving class which took out my points and reduced my insurance. And the defensive driving certificate and ticket was submitted at my interview

go to court and pay if not get a lawyer to reduce the charge. it might cost you $$ and you will probably get community service or take defense class.

@pratik patel In your case you will have to appear in court. You don’t have to get a traffic Attorney though. You can appear by yourself and trust me, the officer who issued the ticket might not even appear and your case will be dismissed. Just read up your state laws. Certain standard of evidence must be met. In all, this isn’t a big deal and it will not have any effect on your VAWA provided the reckless driving didn’t not cause bodily harm or death to others.

don’t pay the ticket plead no guilty call traffic lawyer in your state they will charge you from 300 to 600 and your case will be dismissed

@pratik patel I got same ticket 2021, I was driving 100 on 65, the ticket is none payable, you have to appear in court, but here in jersey it was during covid, the prosecutor called me before my case hearing and offer me a deal to pay certain amount of money and they will take off 2 point cus the ticket was 6 point, I pleaded with him and he took off 4 point and I paid,after which I did defensive driving and got 0 point, my license is clean now. so no issue
