A bank says I have a SSN 😵💫
last weekend I came to a dealership to get a new car, said I had no SSN and that I’d like to use my itin for credit checks. for my surprise, I was told that there’s a ssn tied to my name in addition to the itin. (which they didn’t provide me a number)
I’ve never requested one to SSA but I have a I140 petition going on. could it have been automatically issued? what should I do?

I-140 does not give you SSN. Maybe the dealership gor confused. some places consider itin as the same thing as ssn. maybe give social security a call and ask them.
