601a waiver
How long did it usually take to get the receipt letter with your case number for the 601a waiver?
My husband's attorney mailed it August 21, 2023 and we haven't received the receipt letter or anything yet.

@Teresa Galarza usually takes 1 to 2 weeks but I do know some receipts are taking longer to receive.
My aunt's haven't received their re-registration receipt after 6 weeks.

@singh singh @William u OMG we just got a response from the attorney.... sooooo the waiver was just send back because they send a check for $725 instead of $715. this is soooo fustrating that they made that kind of mistake 🤬🤬🤬

@Teresa Galarza That sucks! Advice for you Teresa, know ahead that i-601A waivers are taking 3.5 years.
USCIS has open HART center to help alleviate the backlog and there's a possibility that future adjudications won't take the current 3.5 years most people are waiting.
You're going to have to learn to be patient and not this simple mistake get the best of you. If not mistaken you also filed for travel document, right? Is so when that is approved you'll forget about the waiver and switch over to AOS.

@William u the AP (travel document) Is for me and the I-601A is for my husband. I just keep up with his stuff too hahaha. and we requested for his I-601a to be expedited. So praying that it does get approved. It got mailed again Friday again with the correct fee so it should arrive to them Tuesday.

@Teresa Galarza Thanks for clarifying, I was a little confused.
Now that you cleared that up, don't have to answer I'm just being nosy; who is petitioning you and your husband and what are your current status?

@Teresa Galarza Expediting i-601A is almost impossible so don't get your hopes high.
I would have personally send the application first with the necessary documents showing extreme hardship. Then a few months later tried expediting with new evidence.
Just know that there needs to be evidence for extreme hardship and different evidence for expediting, hopefully your attorneys did not send in the same evidence for both.

@William u we have separate evidence.

@William u im on DACA and I'm doing the AP just so that I have the legal entry so if they end up stopping future requests for AP.
