5 years in the waiting… Exactly 180 days: 6 months today since they received my RFE response.
Even though they promised my congressman that a response would be given within 60 days, nothing so far…
I can’t finish this year the same way as I did the last 5…
This is sad and cruel.

unfortunately approved expedition doesht mean anything for them perhaps it even slowing it down. same boat March 22 filler approved expedition 11 months ago and I haven't heard anything at all.

You filed in 2021 its been 53 months which is outside of the processing time. This is crazy. And why the RFE so late for Proof of extreme cruelty. Usually this RFE's gets issued early during submission

I’m also from 2020, received a RFE last year, it’s been 6 months as well since they received my RFE response.
I believe they are prioritizing other immigration cases now.

To give you a perspective, VAWA cases have been up 360% from 2020 to 2024. USCIS has limited resources dealing with VAWA cases due to the nature and confidentiality of these cases. So part of the long wait time can be explained by the increase in cases. Everytime they have to issue an RFE, it kinda puts your case in the back again. My case took 4.5 years.

@Missy May from what I’ve seen/ heard so far the most effective way to get a decision with this administration is filing a mandamus
