@Christina Ishak Hi, I was not interviewed for mine. There has been a bit of a push for more interviews with the new administration but many people are still not being interviewed.

I'm August 19th, please I want to know if one's case can be approved without getting the "case is actively being reviewed" message? Cos I have not yet received any message like that, and I have been seeing August approvals.

@Kingsley B okay cool, how long did it take for you to get the approval?
Christina IshakSep 30, 2025
@Ofonime Ideh you just submitted the 485 last month?
Kingsley BSep 30, 2025
@Christina Ishak Mine took 9 months to be approved but I had a RFE for a long form birth certificate. It would have been faster I think if it were not for that. All 485 are adjudicated at a field office not a benefits center. It does not state that on this app or the USCIS site. The benefits center makes sure all documents are there and it is then sent to your field office (you can look up which on is yours). All field offices have different times. This will help you to know how fast it will be. What is good is that your 130 is approved. Some people get approved fast and others wait. Your field office and the officer deciding on your case will dictate speed. The interview could be waived if they are satisfied with what they have. Your immigration history, any inconsistency, or negative history of any kind could trigger an interview. I am from Canada and they can easily access everything so I think that helps. I hope that everything goes well for you. It is stressful.

I’m 45 days post interview, approved on spot but the system still shows “case is actively being reviewed”… hope they update it soon (Boston)

@K. F. Hi, I am sorry this is taking a long time for you. I remember reading your previous posts. I wonder why this happens? If the officer needs approval for their approval. It is all messed up with USCIS. At least your interview went well. Wishing you the best.

@Christina Ishak i130 since August 19th2024, and have not heard anything, not even the message of case being actively review, is just showing case was received and receipt was sent, I've been checking on the document tap for almost every day since September, nothing there still showing N/A

@Christina Ishak the reason why I'm asking if a case can be approved without me getting the "case being actively review messages?
