485 Denied
I filed for AOS by myself back in aug2022. finally had my interview Monday. I was notified that I had a removal processing conducted in absentia back when I entered the states at the age of 8. forward to dec 2021 I did advance parole and nov 2022 AP for work reasons. I got my 485 denied today. however I’m the paper is says I self deported. what is the best way to move forward? should I do a 212 waiver? anyone has gone through this.?

@adriana k Big mistake attempting this on your own. You need to get a good lawyer that handles both deportation and AOS like tomorrow.

@adriana k it was dismissed didn't go to court your lawyer should have told you not to get AP like mine did he let you self deport yourself smh mine case was right in covid so it did take a long time to get dismissed

I got my deportation dismissed and submitted an appeal for my 485 since my 130 got approved. I was recommended to wait on the appeal or reapply for the 485 with the dismissed deportation and I should be good to go. I’m waiting on the appeal planning to reapply in may if I don’t hear back.

@mon c your lawyer can ask ice to join I see alot of that happening now and it don't take that long you should talk to your lawyer about it
tas smithMar 15, 2024
@mon c yeah that's a good amount of time I see people get through faster but every case is different

@mon c lawyer straight file we didn’t ask ice to join motion. my stuff was dismissed in November and I sent the appeal end of may.
