it is better to consult a Lawyer. VAWA is complicated, too many supporting evidences, hence, tell your Attorney to do his or her job.

@Mtu Wangu We applied to Vawa about 18 months ago with my lawyer. Lawyer who applied for c31 for Ead. Then I learned that C31 Ead will not be approved until Vawa is approved. I paid for C09 again 2 months ago and we applied. I'm still waiting. No one, lawyer or congressman, knows anything. uscis is incredibly busy.

@Mtu Wangu We sent it to Vermont Center. I paid $410. because they already have my biometrics and fingerprints. I did not pay biometry fees.

@Mtu Wangu You don’t have to pay for C09 EAD. Your C31 will come after your Vawa case is approved. send in a C09 application.

My lawyer filed c31 for me while submitting my vawa case. when I learned I won’t get EAD until vawa is approved, I sent a new application for c09 and AP. I got the c09/AP approval about 7 months after. The question I have for you and your lawyer is did you get a receipt for the C09 you later submitted? If yes, what date is on the receipt? I saw online that EAD is taking about a year to get approved. @Mtu Wangu

@Ko ka Did you get your EAD after filing with C09. if so after how many months of filing c09 you got ead?
