was the 17 years just a wait for your current or there us underlying status like asylum or something, I am curious to know if I can adjust from my 7 years pending asylum.

@mona came as masters student; and then H1b visa all this time, and i140 approved in 2012, and waited since then….took 10 years from 140 approval to 485 approval

@Mona A. The only option you have is marriage based. No change of status is possible since pending asylum is not considered a status.
