1.4 years and still nothing
Hello! had my fingerprints taken last year, my EAD got approved after 8m on April 7th, 2023… my I-130/I-485 still says your case is being actively reviewed by USCIS. I got a courtesy letter about a missing document (medical) still haven’t received any RFE or Interview date yet, any word of wisdom? I feel like every ppl around me gets their approval for less than I’ve been waiting

you should follow the instructions in the courtesy letter. If the courtesy letter said that you should submit Medical Exam, please submit it. don’t wait for an RFE.

@Andy Vo-Closser I was thinking the same thing. @Vanessa R have you submitted your medical yet as suggested in the courtesy ltr or was it the deficiency notice?

@Vanessa R pls do not send your medical until USCIS request for it. I have same Courtesy letter as U since December 2022 & it stated that if I am given date for interview, I should not fail to come with it else it will be denial & if incase my interview is waived, they will give me instructions on how to send it. My lawyer advised me not to do the medical yet that immigration may not even request for it but I wasn't so comfortable, I emailed USCIS & I was told the validity of the medical is 2 years. I had to get it done to aviod disappointment at the time I will need it. Now, it's almost 6 months since I have had the medical, I haven't received the RFE.
