Hello everyone. Has anyone used Advance parole to travel back to your home country? Please share your experience.
I’m now international student. And, I just got approved my AD (eb3 unskilled) recently. And I wanna go back(1month) before starting to work for my sponsor.
Is it okay for an international student to go back my hometown with my AD now? and easy for me to re-enter in the US?
I know that when I use my AD to enter US AGAIN my i-20 will automatically terminate.
Has anyone had the same concern. please share
Appreciate alot.

you just need a pending application, valid passport and valid 131 to travel outside.
not a big deal. I
have coworkers that spent almost two months at home and they didn’t have problems

@Artur D , @Bill : ) ,@Barb B where are your ports of entry? please
GB BOct 17, 2023
@JK Lee 25 days. no questions, just time I spent, the reason of my travel and that’s it. on the second check ( the agent spent 5 min on the room ) Chicago Airport. my advice: if you want to travel just go without any worries about re entry otherwise, you will not enjoy your trip. if you have a clear background check, pending AOS, and valid passport and 131 no reason to be afraid :)

@JK Lee no questions at the border. I entered at New Jersey and travel was about 40 days.
