@lulu 369 mine was stuck at 3 weeks and 2 weeks until step 2 was completed for about 2.5 weeks and then it just went down to 2 and 1 week on Monday, 2 days after 130 approval, but I’m still on step 3 so I need an officer to actually review my 485 😭. the wait is killing me for real. so many people get active review at the same time for both.

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 Yes, but without the 130 you have no access to the 485. If your 130 hasn't been accepted, you'll never get the 485. The 485 is just the final phase. If you've already had problems with the justice system, or if you've made an overstay, ideally you should wait for the 485. I've got my advance parole and I'm going to use it because that's what it was given to me for. I'm an optimist

@cloclo 92 yup same! I have zero criminal history and only a couple months overstay after a layoff and before I filed. my secondary inspection at the airport I’m going to is friendly so 🤞🏼

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 If you have an overstay, I wouldn't advise you to leave the country before your green card. You never know.

@cloclo 92 I’ve seen about 1,000 cases of people overstaying tourist visas for years and getting approved. I’m not living in that much fear!

Have you been approved yet? my I130 was approved on 29 July, still nothing on my I485. I always thought the whole point of concurrent filing is that they were meant to be approved together

I am still waiting on a social security number. I feel this is odd as many people seem to get them quickly. I am very happy thing are working out for you.

hey @Kingsley B I’m hanging in there but anxiously awaiting the 485 :) I feel like they couldn’t just put me out my my mystery yet 😂😂 if you didn’t get a SSN you should go to the social security office and get one in person. somwtimes they don’t send them when the EAD is approved. I already had one since before my AOS (work visa) and I got it at the Social security office with a copy of my passport and my visa at the time.
