I applied 2 months before you. not even a single work permit or prima facie. 3years and 4months. I’m homeless and living in debt and have to repay loans.

don’t loose your faith🙏the a proximity time it 42 months. maybe take a few months more

@C S I did and that too c09 which is temporary takes 8-9 months but uscis decided to put my work permit under c31 category. so unless my I-360 is not approved my work permit stays under process. 3.5 years still under process.

I have nothing. I’m helpless idky they are giving me hard time. how they expect a abused woman to stay in a country without work permit or prima facie. I have submitted police records, order of protection of 3 years against my abusive ex husband cuz he be stalking me, medical, certificate of conduct, affidavits and good character letter and legal entry papers. I have the best lawyers and even they are shocked with my case they uscis mistreatment towards my case.

You're not alone Sometimes I wonder what can they possibly be doing to take this long like make it make sense

yes I did with the vawa packet.

I’m 2 years in and same for me. no EAD no prima facie nothing.

@Ivan b citizen and he has previous criminal record. but the question is he sponsored me and brought me to this country. my question is how did the uscis not check his background and allow him to marry me and bring me to this country because they do background check on the petitioners before they sponsor someone. he married again someone from Bangladesh and now he’s sponsoring her as spouse. I wanna see if she gets approved because I as his first wife already filed a domestic case against him. or is it that uscis don’t care anymore.

@Ayoosh it’s defientyl bad luck but also I think if you came here initially as F1 holder than file marriage green card and then vawa maybe uscis think that you did your best to stay in US. I think something is wrong here because if he is a citizen than you should have got your work authoziation by now. what about your attorney? what they say about this situation?

@Ivan b they are saying it’s cleary uscis error. because they are not responding to any of our inquiries either. they also sent my travel documents to a different address that’s a mistake on their side and when we requested to rectify, they didn’t respond and it’s been 13 months since. so yeah uscis is messed up guys better make sure you cases are not getting messed up.

@Ayoosh If I were you, I would write a letter, include your I-360 receipt number, explain the situation, and request an update. USCIS does make errors from time to time, but there’s also a chance your attorney made a mistake and is just acting like everything is fine. You can submit additional evidence even if USCIS hasn’t requested it — sometimes that helps get your file assigned to an officer sooner, and they may be able to correct the issue. Unfortunately, many attorneys tend to give up after a certain point once they feel they’ve put in enough effort.

A friend of mine only received his work authorization at first and waited a few more months. His attorney eventually advised him to just keep waiting for the interview. The attorney basically gave up. After some time, my friend started calling USCIS himself and requesting emergency advance parole. The first couple of attempts didn’t lead to anything, but eventually USCIS reached out to him, and one day he finally received his advance parole. His attorney was surprised and couldn’t even explain how it happened — if he had relied solely on the attorney, he would probably still be waiting. P.S. He is married to a U.S. citizen and is waiting for his initial green card interview. @Ayoosh

It's very, very frustrating. since May23 2022 I filed in my vawa case no approval for the i360... God please 🙏 help us in this country. February 2025 this is 9 months for me still waiting... please advice for me... how to go about it 🤔

@Ivan b I have called uscis and spoken to a tier 2 officer. I’m waiting for another call back from tier 2 officer. I won’t stop unless one of them don’t help me expedite my case. what’s the harm in trying.

@Ayoosh Just reading your write ups, I could sense your frustration and anger. Once it's exactly one week you last called and no one has returned your call, call them again. Keep calling every week until you get answers and when you call, let them know you called a week ago and was told a tier 2 officer would reach out but you didn't receive any call. Then, watch the magic happen.
