Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? in other words, who’s the US citizen in your marriage? Your spouse or you? if It’s your spouse they are the ones who need to call for updates on your case.

that weird because in our case I’m the petitioner American citizen and they told me the same, my husband tried and they said the same. when we tried the number they provided you don’t answer, never got connected

well that usually happened when they suspect the beneficiary is trying to get information on the i-130. try calling USCIS when ya’ll both together
