Some examples of our conversations are: my kids, planning my next trip to visit (I ended up losing my job and haven't been back, so we felt it was important to show we made plans and efforts), random messages of love and appreciation, family planning, managing finances (we don't comingle, but we do include one another on important financial decisions), talking about our faith, sharing milestones from one anothers family (birthdays, members who have had babies, etc.), date night plans, &c.
