Sponsoring green card for senior parents/ healthcare
Hi y'all,
I wanted to get a sense of how if any of you or anyone you know have immigrated senior parents to this country. One of my parents is in his 70s, currently in good health but I can foresee in 10 - 12 years, he might need more special healthcare or tending to. He will not be eligible for Medicare. He has private health insurance through his job for life which has some upcost in the States, but my bigger concern is when/if he needs at home medical care which I understand can run into several thousands per month. Is there any special assistance (Medicaid for example) that would cover all/some of those costs?
Really appreciate if anyone has any inputs/suggestions regarding this.
Domestic Partnership
Can I declare myself having a domestic partnership with my fiancé? Would that affect my AOS application/family petition? He is trying to enroll me in his medical benefits, however they are requiring him to submit a signed form from the secretary of state of CA to support my eligibility
Filing Joint Tax Return 2020 without SSN?
My husband and I just had an I485 interview today, and status changed to "new card is being produced". Because I want to think about the worst case scenario so what if I hadn't received GC by the time we wanted to file joint tax return. What should we do?
And I haven't yet received EAD card neither. Thanks in advance, folks.
health insurance during the process
I filed 485 for my parent on July 2020 and this year I bought a insurance through market place they gave me conditional health insurance for my parent while my case was pending . now after three month they asking SSN number other wise they told me that they will cancel health insurance . how can we get SSN number until unless uscis approved and send combo card. are there any body same boat I do t know what to do beside loosing insurance I guess.it being almost 9 month now my pd date was 07/01/2020 no ead yet

hi everyone! just wanted to ask if someone knows. does that mean people who are waiting for their green cards being married to citizens can get marketplace insurance without any issues? thank you

HELP - Stock Market for Temporary Worker

When I was in my H1B visa, I bought some shares and didn't sold..Now my H1B is completed and changed my Visa status to H4. Since H4 is not supposed to generate income in US, will it be OK for me to sell the shares now or I need to wait for my EAD/GC get approved?
Any help will be greatly appreciated
