Today, my immigration journey officially came to an end.
After 7 years — from filing my I-129F in 2019 to finally completing my N-400, I can proudly say that I am officially a U.S. citizen!
A chapter has officially closed, and a new one begins.
To everyone still waiting: I wish you all the very best. Remember, delay isn’t denial. Keep the faith, stay patient, and most importantly, don’t give up. Your day will come!

Has anyone gone through a similar situation? I changed my address on USCIS site on Aug 27. Then, the next day I chatted with a live agent who told me my i485 application was transferred from NBC to Dallas Field office on Aug 24 and was last reviewed on Aug 25. I’m worried that this change of address will further delay my case.

USCIS classified my 8-year-old stepdaughter as “ADULT CHILD OF USC” on I-130 receipt — has anyone seen this?
I'm a U.S. citizen and filed separate I-130 petitions for my wife and my minor stepdaughter.
My stepdaughter was born in January 2017 and was 8 years old when her I-130 was accepted by USCIS in April 2025.
I recently noticed something strange on her I-797C Receipt Notice. Her date of birth is listed correctly as 01/05/2017, but under “Preference Classification” it says “ADULT CHILD OF USC.”
I'm trying to figure out whether anyone else has experienced something similar:
Have you had the wrong preference classification printed on an I-130 receipt?
Was it only an error on the I-797C, or was the case actually classified incorrectly in USCIS's system?
If USCIS corrected it, did your original I-130 continue processing under the same receipt/filing date?
How long did USCIS take to respond to the typographical-error request?
The thing that reassures me somewhat is that USCIS has her correct 2017 DOB on the same notice, so the notice itself clearly shows that she was a minor when the petition was filed.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with a similar I-130 classification error.
Green Card approval.
I am here sharing our journey just trying to help someone who maybe lost the hope. It’s not easy, but hold on to God because He is the only One that turns the impossible to possible. Our PD was 2/22 Nebraska SC, Religious Worker. In 2023 they Denied my Green Card, because they said I lost a biometric appointment, but I didn’t, I went with my husband same day same time. They lost my biometrics and had to filed 2 appeals proving that I was in my biometric appointment. They denied the first one and accepted the second one. More than a year past and I lost my permission to work. In 2025 in August they sent to me a request for evidence, medical only, 1 month later they sent to my husband to. In August 4th this year we received a message “Card Produced” and August 12 “Card Sent” . My husband received the card and approval letter at home. Mine never arrived. I tried to call, send messages looking for a tracking number, and discovered with EMMA agent, they delivered my Card in a wrong address, and if I couldn’t get my card I had to wait for 8months to receive another one. I went to this address that we never heard, and finally got my card. I don’t know what happened and why, but I wish and pray God bless all of you and your families, and if this is really important to you, don’t give up because if God brought us to this place He will be with us all the time.
Updating family information on Form I-140
I have a clarifying question regarding an RFE I am responding to. I made an error on my original Form I-140, and USCIS has asked me to submit a corrected form.
Since filing my original EB-2 NIW petition, I have had another child. Should I include my new child’s information on the corrected Form I-140 that I will resubmit to USCIS, and address this update in the cover letter accompanying my RFE response?
I-290B Appeal (O-1A) – 130+ days pending. Transfer to AAO without status update?

Looking for experiences from anyone who filed an I-290B Appeal (not a Motion) for an O-1A / Form I-129:
Filed: Late April 2026
Days Pending: 130+ days
Current Status: "Form I-290B Received" (No status change since day 1)
Receipt: IOE
When I chatted with a USCIS agent, she mentioned the case is delayed with the AAO, but my online status never updated to "Case Was Transferred to the AAO".
My questions:
Has anyone had their Appeal sent to the AAO without the online status ever updating?
For those who filed an I-290B Appeal around April, have you received a decision yet or a transfer notice?
How long did your AAO appeal take from filing to decision?

52 months waiting – Prima Facie & EAD expiring
April 2022 filer here. I’ve been waiting 52 months for my I-360 approval. My Prima Facie expires in September, and my work permit extension expires on September 13. I still haven’t received an approval. Is anyone else from early 2022 still waiting? Has anyone received another Prima Facie or a new work permit extension recently? 🙏
