What is the point of paying and having these people if they are not doing their job and being helpful? I have tried several times to chat with live agents through Emma and after they asked for all of my information, they just closed the chat immediately. This is pissing me off so bad since they just wasted my time.

8 days after 3rd Fta0- nothing

PD is current starting 8/1/2026. Saw some back-end system action this week: 8/4: I-485 3rd FTA0 updated (event date 4/30, same as biometrics) + I-485J 2nd IAF updated. 8/5: I-485 silent update. No official status changes online yet (no H008, closed, or approval status). Given these silent updates right after the PD turned current, how long does it usually take for the actual approval to come through?

Just wanted to share a quick update. I traveled from the USA to India on July 7 and returned through JFK on August 9. I was questioned for about 3 hours but thankfully, I was allowed to enter, I would say don’t listen to any nonsense rumours if you have no criminal history and valid documents they will eventually let u in,#travel #advanceparole

Recent trends in Field Office

I have been observing some recent trends in field office actions. It looks like when a field office is looking at cases they happen to look at all similar blocks of cases at the same time. Recently, I can see a lot of people either getting rfes or approval from LA field office. If your case is in LA field office and have already gotten updates… congrats, if you haven’t hang tight you will get it soon. However, some field offices are not even looking at cases at all. For instance, New Jersey Central Field office has been literally dead. They are not even touching paper filed cases at the moment. If anyone has been transferred to NJ central FO let’s discuss in comments if you have gotten any updates.

Trying to figure out the longest VAWA wait time anyone on here has experienced before receiving a decision.

my case was approved on Aug 5th but my spouse case is still showing as Processing Correspondence received and the USCIS is reviewing it. Does anyone know why it would be taking this long for the dependent applicant case to be approved?

Hi everyone my Pd is June 2024 this is my second PD my first one was 2021 which was sent to audit, got accepted later end of 2024 which i denied & sticked to my second one since PD is earlier from which i got RFE on march 2026 for my I-140 which got approved this month August. My case has been transferred to NVC all USCIS processing is done. can i work for my sponsor while i wait to file for Adjustment of Status? when can i file for AOS? The next step is AOS only as mentioned by my lawyer. what do i do?
