It's not up to your lawyer for final approval. Each application is process differently. Be patient, your time will come..

I’m sorry but your atty should not have said that to you. That’s giving you false hope. Hopefully you will get your EAD soon. I filed Sept 2019. I NEVER got an EAD. I got 3 Prima Facie’s in the span of 2 yrs. Do you see how long I have been waiting? Each case is unique. I was on the verge of giving up. Nearly 2 wks ago I got a notification that A new card was being produced. Just hold on a little longer, you’ll get what you need. Good luck.

I understand your pain. My mother paid my atty $8k & she would never return my phone calls or emails. Even the Prima Facie’s were late that she gave me. They’re usually good for 6 months. By the time she gave them to me, they were due to expire in a 7 wks or less. It’s scary that we put our trust into these ppl. All I can tell you is, just try to focus on your case & do your own research. This forum is a great source of inspiration & information. I know initially when I sent USCIS my pkg for AOS, a month later (Feb 2018) I did my biometrics. In Sept 2018 I received my EAD (good for 1 yr). I filed for Vawa Sept 2019. Even though I applied for an EAD (2 times) I never heard anything back from USCIS. I got a RFE in Apr of this yr. Sent everything back in Sept. 2 wks after, I got a notification that a new card was being produced. I wish it was my GC that I’m getting right now, but I’m VERY grateful to be able to work again ~ it’s been years. I say all of that to say to you, keep the faith, you’ll get the EAD shortly. I heard that there is going to be an investigation as to why there’s a backlog regarding issuing GC’s.
