Is there anyone here who applied for H4 visa extension and EAD together? my category is (c)(26) and application went to Texas center. Please post here if yours is also pending. I am just trying to understand if my case is unique or are there people in the same boat.

my EAD status was changed to “New card being produced”. Any idea in how many days will I get my card?

applied on oct 9, 2020. Texas centre. h4 approved but h4 ead still pending. the wait is very frustrating

KA S, congratulations! can you share your timeline for h4 extension apporval? mine was approved back on May 6 but ead still not approved. also you should get your card in 5 days to a week.

H4 & H4 EAD application
26th May 2020: H4 Application received by USCIS
27th May 2020: H4 EAD application received by USCIS
27th Nov 2020: Biometrics done for H4
3rd Dec 2020: Biometrics done for H4 EAD
4th May 2021: H4 extension Approved
11th May 2021: Received H4 approval notice in mail
H4 EAD Case outside normal processing time now.
4th June 2021: Submitted enquiry with Senators office.
28th June 2021: Submitted case enquiry directly to USCIS
9th July 2021: Received reply from Senators office
12th July 2021: Received reply from USCIS
20th July 2021: Case was updated to “New card being produced”

your H4 extension was processed in less time then mine as you applied in October and received in May.

big congratulations KA S. I know my h4 was relatively fast but don’t know how long will be the wait for h4 ead? you should get your card early next week. it generally takes 4-5 days to reach your mailbox.

@Shikhar Srivastav : Go to your state senators website and they have forms there. If not you can contact them through mail or phone and they will send you a form to be filled out.
My enquiry with senator took a month to be reverted with answer from USCIS.

@KA, did you receive you EAD card? how long it is taking to get actual EAD card after the status is updated to ‘new card being produced’?

5 days to a week. my status was updated on Tuesday and I had my card on Saturday.

thanks KA...my status changed to card mailed out on July 30 but there is no tracking number provided and have not received the card yet

the tracking number is usually generated within 48hrs. suggest you to call USCIS and ask them about the mailing status.
