Waiting for combo card. Leaving country for family emergency with advance parole but EAD is sill not approved…. will I loose my right to work upon my return? I have an E2 visa (non-immigrnt)
Trying to understand options im in a situation where i have to choose between loosing my job and family…

i got an info pass bur they were only able to give an advance parole to travel , they didnt expedite ead, although I need both

i have the same situation ! we dit an emergency advanced parole to visit my sick dad in France. my husband is under L1 , and my L2 renewal is pending since almost a year now.
the lawer called us and told us if we come back to the us with the AP my husband won’t be able to work anymore ( he will loose his L1)

@asma thx for sharing. did you end up leaving? can you work in france until it gets approved? I was thinking of doing that but the problem is that we have a return date on the advance parole and my fear is that i dont have the ead by the time the emergency parole expires. Loosing a job is no joke . Standalone advanceparole is useless in this situation. These people are heartless the hardship they are creating to families is severe. If the delay is their fault we should be able to work with an alternative document temporarily. I ended up staying but probably will always regret

We are in France , the lawer called us we were at the boarding room 🙄! they told us we can come back with my husband L1 visa ( which I’m really not sure about ) we are planning to come back the 10th I have two kids ( my son is pending L2 and my daughter is us citizen) we will see ....
like you said they are heartless and destroy families live... i lost my job in décembre because my ead expired , we can’t afford loosing my husband’s job ...

im so sorry to hear asma and fingers crossed for you that you can get it very soon. We are also from france and spain, when we explain our situation to our families no one understands.. it’s unbelivable how they handle immigration, such a backwards shameful and archaic system. after this experience and 10 years in the US it really makes us wonder if all of this is really worth it. Lost control of our lives and struggling to keep mental health in shape due to a bunch of incompetents managing this process

yeah I feel you ! same after 6 years in the us I’m wondering if all that it’s worth it ! especially now that my dad is really sick and I’m not free to go visit and help him when I want
