US citizen filing for spouse
PD 6-21-2021. Biometrics 10-29-2021. No EAD yet. NBC filing center. I was an F1, using OPT but expired. Out of work since July. I used to be a COVID ICU charge nurse with four years of ICU experience. Should I ask local congressman for an expedite on the EAD?

I am a COVID-19/Infectious Diseases pharmacist and expedited my EAD back in June. It was approved in July so you should give it a shot.

@stacey O if you don’t mind, when was your priority date? thanks so much in advance!
Stacey ONov 15, 2021
Priority date is January 25, 2021. I expedited without a congressman.

what is the process of expediting without a Congress man?
Stacey ONov 15, 2021
I contacted USCIS via their online chat system and told an agent that I need to expedite my EAD based on financial loss.
She then asked me to type up my exact reason for financial loss and I did. She copied and pasted the reason into her system and gave me a confirmation number. Weeks later, I received an email asking for further proof of financial loss and I sent it via the fax number provided on the notice.
Card was produced two weeks after that.
