wow you were approved after just half a year? that’s great! we’re still waiting… we handed in our petition I-130 02/21/22 and are still waiting for approval (Nebraska SC)

do you think expediting requests were helping even though they were denied?

i don’t think we qualify for any special circumstances…

@Laura I am just the type of person that can’t sit back I needed to try anything I could. you have been waiting enough time now I would contact a congressman. it’s been taking too long. they care about the US citizens situation so if you can think of how it negatively impact them I would mention that. did it help I will never know but I needed to try

@laura I first contacted the congressman but realized later that some people suggest first contacting uscis. I don’t think it really matters. when you go on his website there should either be a waiver for the US citizen to sign or you might have to email first and they will ask for a waiver in the email include all the info your dates your uscis case number and explain that it’s been too long and why this is so challenging

@Rebecca - The NVC forwarded our expedite to the consulate in the home country on the 21st December! no response from the consulate yet and I emailed NVC asking if there’s any update but they say we need to simple wait till the consulate responds. its 3 weeks since this happened and I’m still waiting. anything you suggest me to do? Can the congressman or ombudsman in the US help with this ?

@rebecca I have a question for you! Did you get an email saying that your case is in transit? my case is still at NVC but I got an email an hour ago saying that expedite is approved so they are sending it right away to the embassy! will I get a notification that it’s in transit? thanks

@ireland when I checked my case status it would change from transit to ready after about 4 days

@GT it took one day for NVC to reply to me that they sent the expedite request to the consulate/embassy and the next day it was approved! so in two days I knew that it was approved

@julio yes thanks for asking. I had my interview but my medical was not received yet therefore my visa is refused until they receive the results. I had my medical done on the 12th

@Rebecca - what happened after that? all good now? Also Rebecca , as per your experience how long will it take to change status to In Transit & Ready once DQ’d?

@GT still waiting embassy received my medical on the 19th of Jan I am not sure how long it takes for me it took about 5 days

@GT I never got dq I got my expedite before so I am not sure how long is takes if it’s dqd hopefully not long

Thanks for the updates! Hoping you’ll hear back soon! We got our first expedite request denied and are waiting for a response from our congressman. He already asked us to contact him again if he doesn’t get back to us by next Monday so hopefully we’ll have good news soon too 🤞🏼 Thanks again for all the help!

got my update today it went from denied to administrative processing to issued!!! now waiting to receive notification to pick up passport

Hi, what a journey, really happy for you. I’ve been waiting since September 13 for an appointment to be scheduled, haven’t heard anything yet, and not sure where else can I reach out too, no one is replying my email and phone calls are all automated.

Hi @Rebeccahorn, I have a quick question. My husband's request to expedite his CR1 was approved on 3/2 by the Frankfurt consulate, but we are waiting to hear about his interview date. His case has been ready since 3/3. What email did you use to contact the consulate? Did you register at https://atlas.my.salesforce-sites.com/ before or after you got your interview invite? Thanks!

@Rebecca horn this is what I have been looking for! thank you for sharing 🙏 same here expedite approved and ready since 5/16. didn’t hear from embassy yet. but there was a holiday 2 days ago plus now weekend so hopefully next week 🙏 how did your interview go?
