Things seem to be moving very slowly at Vermont. Processing for my category of EAD was 5 months when I filed in September 2020 and is now 10.5 months.

Yes, out of work and still waiting! Every month the Vermont processing times seem to get extended. very frustrating. Good luck with the L2 EAD!

yes March filer, cited financial loss but L2 is dependent visa with L1 working and it got denied immediately

I gave financial loss to company and got denied without asking for evidence.

I’ve just seen on Trackitt approvals from January/2021. one of them is a receipt notice from Jan 25th. mine is Jan 11th and still pending. I can’t understand the sequence they use 🤷🏻‍♀️😢

I see only GC approval and other approvals- nothing is moving for L2

Trackitt shows two new approvals for H4 stand alone EAD but not L2 approval for Vermont....not sure if they even plan to approve L2 EAD

I’m wondering if that person in Facebook is confusing the RD. for example, my RD is March 3rd, but I submitted my case January 11th. In the begin of 2021 they had huge delays on issueing receipt notices.

yeah, she did say she applied in Jan and only received the notice in March. but even still, Jan approval!

yes mine is Feb1 but receipt date is March 23

I remember reading ages ago on a Reddit thread that due to covid, each officer takes home a stack of applications to approve at a time. So I guess that would account for sporadic approvals based on who gets assigned to your case and how fast they are!

Hi all. My case was approved ( L2 Standalone EAD) . I had an expedite request denied on July 17th. In the next day I contacted my local Congressman, who was very nice and helpful since the begin. he used to send the responses in lesss than one day. in July 20th he sent an expedite request to USCIS. i got approval on the expedite July 28th. I gave the reasons of Financial Loss to Employer and Us Government Interest. I work in a Critical Infrastructure Sector ( outlined by Cisa.gov). I’m not sure which reason they took in consideration. but I believe it helped.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for all of you, and hope everyone can get the EAD soon. 🤞🏻

none. I did get a free trial to case analysis pro on this app and it said that (on this app anyway), 78 people had applied in January and 31 people still waiting. So getting there!

no still the same, 7 - 13.5 months

Stand-alone with no AOS here, although not L2 (I’m spouse of an E3, which is broadly similar to the L2).

no, I rang today and tried expediting again. he said “it’s still within the normal timeframe of 6-12 months”. Nothing normal about that timeframe!

they did tell me something I didn’t know. after 3 failed expedite requests they can escalate to a tier 2 manager

I told him I already had 3 but he said he could only see 2 in the system

I read a Reddit post where the first tier officer advised the applicant that more than two expedite request delays the approval

now I am confused as they give incorrect information 😟

they approved a lot of Jan and started with Feb now. best case is 7 months.
