Speaking to a Live Agen
how can you get connected to a live agent at the USCIS? instead of the automated machine at all times?

1) ask for a status update on your case
2) say you have lost the receipt number
it will then connect you.
tip: if you call at exactly 8am ET and do the above you will be connected directly to an agent.

when Emma sends you msg write that it didn't help or didn't answer your question then she will connect you with a live agent
