i filed on July 29, 2021. On January 31, they asked for my medical Exam. it took me 2 weeks to send it. On Feb 9, I got my work permit. Four days ago they sent me the same a notification saying that they received my RFE & are working on my case

the medical exam is part of the I-485 application. Some people send it all together along with their application. Other (me) wait until USCIS sends you a RFE asking for it

they never approve a gc without a medical exam. If you check my timeline, there’s a part about “RFE”. That’s when I sent my medical exam
