Sibling of a us citizen
Please, I need an enlightenment. I want to file for my sibling but she’s married with kids. Is it better if she comes to the USA and I file for her or I should petition for her from outside USA. Any advise and suggestions would be appreciated. thank you in advance.

you can’t file while she is here. she is not an immediate relative. you neex to file an I-130 now. it takes years

She can be whenever she wants when you file but she needs to do everything legally otherwise she will get denied.

@Frank Rincon what if she came to United States with tourist visa and put in for I-130. Is it possible that way too?

As a US citizen, you can file for your siblings but it takes from 12 years for approval.

@Ola Ola Yes, but there’s no difference between filing when she’s outside or inside. You might be confusing an I130 with an I485. An I130 only proves that they are your relative. When you get approved you get nothing other than the chance to apply for permanent residency.
