Sharing biometrics experience N-400
Hello, Today I had my biometrics appointment in Revere (Boston area). Initially, the appointment was at 2 pm, I came 15 min earlier as requested, waited in line for 10 minutes, then the fingerprints/photo process took me around 5 minutes. So I was out at 2:02 pm. I asked the lady who took my fingerprints when to expect the interview, she said they do not have that kind of information. My timeline for reference: 8/12/20 Receipt notice for N-400 6/12/21 Bio scheduled 7/8/21 (today) Case is being actively reviewed. On the application I had missed one travel but had contacted USCIS on the same day and uploaded the travel documentation. In the past 5 years I lived in 5 different addresses and have a Russian citizenship. So, I assume, those are the reasons why my bio couldn’t be reused. End of this month I have to move again out of state. Actually, I could extend my stay here in Boston if I only knew for sure that my interview will be scheduled no later than September. So tired of this uncertainty really

hey they don’t work for USCIS.. u can call USCIS for that information

they won't be able to tell you when your interview will be scheduled. It's just a case of waiting and hoping that you'll get a date in a reasonable time frame buy nothing is guaranteed

Yes, I know. People who applied after me got their passports already. Another friend of mine applied for n400 1 month ago and attended his biometrics appointment last week already. He hired a lawyer though

USCIS said every case is different.. ppl in the same household cases are processed differently.. hire a lawyer will not speed up a case..

Weird indeed. I just got a text message at 6 am that an action is taken on my case. So practically they just changed my “actively reviewed” status from yesterday to today. Yesterday I did not get any notifications but today both - text and email
