you re at risk side if you go to an interview like that , first of all you not living together with your husband, second of all you re living in shelter which belongs to government, during interviews the officer pull up your name and your name maybe showing u re living shelter, thirdly, what of your husband changed his mind and deny u b4 the officer, do u have the same ID bearing the same address, you need to see your Lawyer for more detail and deeply b4 go to interview. I wish u best of lucky

Marriage can be difficult and going through the immigration process can make it even more difficult. if your husband abused you and you can prove that you and your child was abused by a US citizen or Permanent Resident, your best option is VAWA. Get your letter from the shelter and police report etc and start the process. What is your husband planning to say to the Immigration Officer? Is he going to admit that he abused you and you are now separated and live in a shelter? that would be crazy and you can get denied! Speak to a lawyer before you proceed.
