Sent a notarized birth certificate instead of a certified one for I-485 how to avoid an RFE now?
I recently mailed my I-485 application under NIW EB2 category and my priority date is not current yet. With my I-485 I sent a birth certificate that was translated by myself to English and was notarized at a UPS store alongside my original birth certificate that is not in English. I just realized that I should have sent a certified translated birth certificate instead. Can I send a certified birth certificate to USCIS through mail now? or should I wait until I get an RFE?

why do you think you will get an RFE? I am on the same boat, my original birth certificate wasn’t in english, so i got it translated and got it stamped from Indian Embassy along with notarizing it and sent it with my application a year back. Haven’t received any RFE… i believe you should be alright!!!

@Eb3 other: Maybe you didn't get an RFE because it was stamped from the Indian embassy. But in my case I translated it myself and notarized at a UPS store, and that is not a certified way to do it.

Hi! is uscis accepting I485 for EB-2 NIW without a current priority date? I’m in a similar situation my priority date is not yet current but I was wondering if I can still submit my application?

@Eniola Yussuf there is table B in the monthly visa bulletin, it's called filing date chart or something. But right now USCIS uses table A for filing. What is your priority date?
