Second Interview In less than 20 days from the First!!!!
Hey guys! Me and my husband interview was like 20 days ago and we’ve been scheduled for another on March 16th! Here is the back story. Am a military spouse my husband got medically discharged cause he got shot and it interfered with his mental health he suffers from multiple mental disorders(PTSD,Stress disorder,Mood disorder etc)and is taking prescribed medication…….before the first interview that he didn’t even want to attend he had an episode and I still forced him to go I know very little about this Immgration stuff!! Our first interview wasn’t really good he messed up a few questions cause he was nervous and didn’t want to be there and the questions was about game a console and the Tv but nothing major I would say but the lady had a issue with it and said she has to think about our case! Just got the letter for the second one and my husband already doesn’t want to attend and is already in his depressed state and I don’t want to force him and it all goes bad or we get there and he has a episode in the office. someone told me I should of been got a lawyer to get a waiver from the first interview but I didn’t know! Now am looking for a lawyer and am worried and stressed myself about this whole situation unsure how this will go? Any suggestions or similar cases?

@shen e am so sorry to hear about your situation i am a military wife also my husband is in Germany and we just had our interview last we but I went by myself and it went good...however I would suggest packing your case with multiple evidence including doctors reports military records make sure your on is deer and tricare you need to take the focus off the mental health and turn it on the amount of evidence you got doctors visits with him get family members and friends to write affidavit of support about your marriage a lawyer not gonna really help you at this point than take your money you have to take control of the situation try get a doctors report to excuse him from the interview because of his mental health think outside the box and take control

we trying to see if a letter from his psychiatrist….the lady wanted more evidence we showed pictures letter from landlord and few bills and both military insurance cards from Tricare and she wanted more like a mortgage and stuff we both young we don’t have a house or anything yet like the officer wanted we are young all we do is go out and figure out life we just moved to a new state to get away and start over….we can get family and friends to write the letters but mostly everything we have right now is under my name and I handle the bills and stuff cause of his mental problems it’s like I take care of him ever since he got shot basically and he gets paid from the military still so that covers all the bills but am the one that handles the money and bills or whatever I don’t know how to explain it further to the officer is like she had no understanding 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

The best thing for you to do is to get a lawyer. First, your spouse wouldn't be qualified to petition for you bcos of his mental health. If you told the IO at the interview he was on prescription drugs, that could hurt your case. The second interview will be a stokes interview, you will be separated. I advice you see a lawyer.

the mental issue happened way after we got married it’s only after being shot in the military it happened
