RFE-Joint Sponsor
So we just got the RFE stating we need a Joint Sponsor for my application. However, during 2020, my wife made way over the poverty line doing 1099 work. Does that not count as income?? Does anyone have any experience with this?

I would take RFE very seriously. if you submitted all the documents and they still ask you for a joint sponsor then I will do just that. that’s just my opinion because what other options are there? resubmitting the same paper work and hoping they missed something before? or you could try to call them and ask these questions

They check income for the last three years

maybe to uscis it doesnt count as income,but to us its income you have to follow what the rfe is asking for and maybe at this time just try to get a joint sponsor for the i-864 the longer you wait to submit the evidence the longer it will take your case to move forward

did you send in your 2020 Tax transcript and thats why they issued an RFE?
