RFE for birth certificate and income of sponsor
Hi, got an RFE regarding my birth certificate and my husband’s income. They want an english-translated-version of my birth certificate but, the birth certificate we sent to the USCIS was already in english so I don’t know why they want an english version when it is already in englisj.
About my husband’s income, he didn’t met the federal poverty guidelines. We also don’t want to get an sponsor. How much money and assets does my husband need for him to be qualified? We have about 500,000 in cash and we sent the bank account statements also together with our package.

you might need to consult an attorney to put you in the right spot

Did he not meet the requirements for just the past year or last 3 years?
Ke PatomacOct 15, 2021
2018 his total income was 14500, in 2019 it was 10k and in 2020 it was just 4600. The reason his income is so low is because he is a farmer. They spend the money by the end of the year and new money will be in the first of the year. He has other assets like vehicles, machines, and land and also cash in hands. But we’re just thinking about giving the cash in hands if it will be enough.

Oh I get it. I think the best, easiest and fastest way to overcome this is simply to find a co-sponsor. I know how daunting it can be. We had the same issue at first. My wife had income below the poverty guidelines for 2018 and 2019 but met the requirements in 2020. The requirements are for the most recent year but they do say to submit last 3 years if you believe it'll help. I'm still not sure if they'll send RFE but we have a co-sponsor on standby.

when i got married to my wife, what she earned couldn't meet up with the poverty guideline so i was advice to get a cosponsor ... having a cosponsor not a big deal, a friend could be a co-sponsor.... i was once in the same situation.

with the income that you just stated you will need a co sponsor. and for your birth certificate there are translating institute online that could do it for you as USCIS want it to be for low price like https://immitranslate.com

@C J, my Birth certificate was already in english. So, even if we give them the assets like that, we will still gonna need a co-sponsor?

@Keith patomac you have to find a sponsor it’s very important my wife didn’t make much last year Bc she gave birth to our son and also bc of COVID and so we had to get an affidavit of support. so you have to try and get someone that will do it for you

thank you Cj, we’ll talk to his mother. The reason we don’t want to get an sponsor is because we don’t want to involve someone else. That’s why we will try to give all of his assets and cash in hand. But we will talk to his mother just incase his assets will not be enough. Thank you!

@ Keith Patomac I understand and I wish you the best of luck
