Pending I-485 at NRC
My employment-based I-485 was pending at Baltimore field office when I requested FOIA. After FOIA completion, I found out my case is transferred to National Record Center while pending. How can I get the review start again? USCIS agents on the phone and chat do not submit a service request for me to return the documents to local field office since it's still in its "normal processing time". Any similar cases?

Are you sure that you case is at NRC? I did the same and I found that the NRC just requests copy of your records from the agencies not the whole thing.

@Bmore FO that's what I heard from phone and chat with USCIS agents. They say that the A file is at NRC. My understanding is that A file is needed for the decision.

I thinkit was somekind of mistake may be when they reported it to you. But I just found out yesterday that on 10/04/2022 my case was transferred to NBC. I did the FOIA too back in July and there are details provided saying what and how they request information. Also after that I did a service request and address update which were replied by Baltimore FO. Now from yesterday I have been talking to agents in daily basis and they are telling me that some cases were moved to NBC. I hope that your case has been also moved to NBC but not NRC unless there is additional things in you case.

It means that you will start getting updates in your case as your FO was backlogged so they move some to Offices with no backogs to process them faster. And in case of Baltimore, it was heavily backlogged so I think they did this to help cases move forward for this FO.

My case is similar to you. I also came to know from EMmA that my case has been transferred to NRC after RFE response. They are not doing any SR as asking to wait for 60 days. Please let me know if you come to know about any solution.

@Vijay I'm waiting for a tier 2 agent callback. There's a slim chance the agent might help. Will post updates here.

@MJ G: I was not. However, I was able to request and successfully transfer my case back to Baltimore FO thru our senator. It took a bit over a month to transfer. Still waiting on adjudication...
