NVC case processing still in transit for a week
i had filed expedited request and approved successfully 2 weeks ago. i was informed on last Monday that my case had been transferred to local US embassy in Hong Kong for further processing, however, the case status on NVC still showing in transit, does that mean US embassy have yet to received my case? and how long does it take from in transit to ready? thanks

my reason was the zero covid policy in Hong Kong which is too strict that the US state of department raised the travel alert to level 4

How long did it take for you to receive the interview letter after expedite approval? How long after your expedite approval was your interview booked? We're in the same situation. It's been a week and still no word from the panama embassy.

how long did it end up taking to transfer to the embassy? I’m in the same situation now-it still shows “at nvc” despite nvc saying they expedited to post 1 week ago..

the interview took place on 14/4 and appointment was sent in early april, 2 weeks prior the interview. it took roughly a week and a half for us embassy in hong kong to schedule an appointment after expedite request was approved

actually, i expedited my request with the justifications of arbitrary enforcement of COVID policies and possibility of even stringent border restrictions, and NVC accepted it then transferred my case to HK consulate, may be you can try that

could you share the timeline of submitting expedited request? I just sent an email to NVC and received their response stated that my case is under review on the next day. wanna know how long NVC will take for review. thanks!

@jackson, sorry for the late reply, the expedite request was sent on 17/3 and approval received on 23/3.

how long did it take from IN TRANSIT till you received an interview date from the embassy? My case is currently in transit now.
