no news yet for an interview?

hi. nothing yet. when we were at the NVC stage before submitting documents, we tried to expedite our case trough the embassy in Armenia, but they declined. The official page showing that the wate time for some non immigrant type of visa in Yerevan embassy is - around 30 days. But nothing about wait time for CR1/IR immigrant visa. I will let you know if I will receive interview date.

I hope it’s quick for you. this entire process is way too long , hopefully I get DQ this week lol if I get another rfe im done 😂

yes,it is hard to wait. I cannot believe I’m doing this for the second time. I hope you’ll finally see approval soon! It’s a relieving feeling.

second time doing paperwork for the same person ? did they deny you the first time ? you don’t have to answer if it’s too personal

No,I’ve already been in the States. The first time we have applied in 2020 for k1 visa, and it was approved in 3 months. And we moved to Los Angeles in February 19,2021 and got married. But then,after six months, before I’ve received my travel authorization we decided with my husband to go back to Armenia. So ,here we are. We reapplied again.(with the same person) In March 1st, 2023 it will be our 2 years anniversary. So I’m going to receive 10 years green card. Time and money wise, that was a very poor decision to make. I was complaining how warm and sunny LA is, but now I can’t wait to go back. It’s too cold for me now in Yerevan. I really miss Glendale :) And how long is you have been waiting ?

oh got itttt , I met my husband while I was just visiting Armenia. my dad is here so I would visit a lot. then I went back to LA , came back to visit again a few months later and ended up staying and getting married lol then covid happened. then the war happened in 2020, I got pregnant a year after and had a baby and decided it’s time to move back to LA, cuz I’m always scared that another war might start , we applied in October 2021 , our i130 got approved in September of 2022, so here we are lol i have high hopes that we’ll go to LA by end of spring.

You came alone, but you will go back with a family! What a beautiful change. We will probably go back at the same time-in spring. I hope so. My husband came back to Armenia a month ago. So fortunately, we will go to our interview together. It’s probably going to be so awkward seeing the same doctor and having interview with the counselor and my husband,again :) The closer we get, the harder it is to wait

I think I saw your post on a visa journey, if that’s you. The saddest part is, that there is no one from Armenia to give us any idea of how long we are going to wait for the interview. Our case is still at the NVC . We want to see if we can expedite it again, based on job offer to my husband from States with a deadline. I’m also going to ask another family that I know in Armenia,whether they got their interview letter for cr1/ir1 visa

Yes, excitement after receiving approval from NVC immediately changes to another dreadful unknown waiting. on a official website of travel state gov you can see how many cr1/ir1 were processed pere month I will let you know if we have any changes. let me know if your case will be transferred from NVC to the embassy. thank you

will it show online if it’s transfered ? does the status change.

Yes,on the ceac website you can login your case number, and it will show the current status of your case : At the NVC /in transfer /at the embassy

someone at visa journey got an interview letter , but the status never changed from “at nvc”. I have a feeling you’re gonna get it this week 🙏🏼

By the way,one of my friends son is also waiting for cr1/ir1 visa . I saw them today, and they haven’t received their appointment letter yet.they one month ahead of me. But they shared a forum on facebook where we can find useful information,and people who are in the same process from Armenian community : Us Armenian’s Mom. LA Armenian’s

Hi. No,we are still unsure whether to send our paperwork to expedite the case based on job offer or not,due to our anniversary. in March 1 it will be 2 years. So we might wait till there,and then try to make an expedite request. My guess is ,that waiting for interview appointment (without expediting) will take around 4-5 months. by the end of February it will be already 2 months since NVC I will let you know as soon we have any news.

Hello. Glad I found this thread. We are in the same situation currently. Got DQ 3 weeks ago with NVC, but the case is still at NVC. If I got it right it took around 4 months from DQ to interview, right? How easy was it? Did you end up expediting or that was the regular processing time? Thanks a lot!
