Not my local FO
I am EB3-1 and my case transferred to NBC. I figured out my case is in Phoenix FO which is not my local FO.
Do I have to wait until transferred to my local FO or is it possible non local FO can approved my I485 instead?
Mine transferred on 7/29

A non-local FO can approve it. In fact, it going somewhere else is a good sign that they’ll waive the interview.

Mine is EB2 NIW. also transferred to Phoenix, AZ field office, non local, on 7/29 and recieved RFE for medicals yesterday. Appears like they issued the RFE on 08/04. I mailed my medicals today. let see what happens.

you can call USCIS and ask them which local office tiger transfer your A-file..you can say to them you need that info so you can check the processing time. you need to call few times because sometimes they don’t tell you. I called three times and one of them told me the info. I called and they said my case was transferred to FL local office on July 20 while I am in tx. waiting for decision. mine is NIW based.
