@Emma, also asked my attorney to put in an expidited request . Hopefully it triggers the whole process. I never asked for AP, I just want my EAD renewed before expiration . I filed the renewal 5months ago .

@olu is it under vawa ?

@olu if yes then i will advise not to just expedite but go for premium process $1500. that one you are 💯 sure it will be handled as priority

you can google premium process for I-756 . based on my experience and the denial letter they sent me .

ok I will check that out , am probably going to change job in a week and EAD expires 03/28 . I just hope the new employer will allow the 180 days cos I don’t want to miss the job at all .

@ bibi absolutely. if I had known I would have done that but I saw it on the letter they wrote me and it was bolden “You cannot expedite a case that premium process is available for”. here is my thinking and take if they tell us to pay for premium and get what we want fast trust me everybody will be shouting that they want to extort us rather than doing their job . so I think it’s kept low and silence. like i said from my experience not from anyone. I expedited 5 times. sending letters and evidence

if I had sent those letters and evidence with the application for premium process with money order of 1500 max 30 days I would have heard from them but all the same thank God

@ Emma and Bibi, did you go for any finger print appointment for the renewal . they used my old biometric for the last one I did . not sure if they will need any biometrics now

@wow. I’ve also heard from someone that she expedited her I-360 and got approved. after that she expedited I-485 and then denied. expedited again and got approved. Her total time frame was 1 year and 3 months. I became so confused

@emma I’ve just read on USCIS website that petitioner who did self petition are eligible for premium processing. So that means vawa can be done with premium processing if I’m reading it correctly

I did check my I-360 and it says correspondence was received and USCIS is reviewing it since February 21 . no update for I-485

@bibi same for mine , feb ‘21 correspondence was received and under review . I filled Oct 2020 and I have a pending I-485 .

@olu olu I filed on June 3, 2021 and my lawyer submitted an expedited request in January for EAD. I don’t whether the correspondence was for EAD or VAWA because it says they’re reviewing it for form I-360

whenever you have that kind of update , they are probably linking all your cases together . at the time I filed, I had 130 and 485 pending from MSC , so they moved all to VSC and updated .

hopefully they’re reviewing my actual petition

@emma Emma so I asked my lawyer about premium processing and she said that it’s not applicable to Vawa.

@bibi , pls when did ur EAD expires and on what ground did ur attorney did expidited . need to let my attorney know as he is claiming it’s for only medical personel

Actually my EAD is still at usps. hopefully it’ll be in my hand on Saturday. And to be honest I have no idea what ground they use, I was told to sign a blank paper and they wrote something later on. as soon as uscis received, they approved within 5 days
