NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER IS SLOW
Been waiting on something to approved. Replied to RFE but no response yet. Nebraska Service Center is working slow. why we had to suffer a lot? 3 months already been out of job, can’t even renew DL in Texas coz they couldn’t verify my status and neither DHS sent letter to my mailing address after visiting DMV office. last time they took 3 weeks to sent letter and I have to take that letter to DMV. but this time no response yet. They could have at least approved EAD first and process rfe for green card.

sorry you are in this situation. I am in similar situation, had to resign my job 3 months ago and waiting for EAD to arrive. have you tried renewing your license with UsCIS Receipts? I got my license renewed for 4 months on bases of my case being pending with USCIS. hope this helps. good luck.

@G D I took all my receipts to dmv and their system talk with DHS and they suppose to send letter back to my mailing address and I have to take letter back to dmv and they will have to renew it. but this time I visit dmv last Feb 25 and till now I haven’t got the letter from DHS. I went back to dmv on April second week. all they told me wait for that letter from DHS to come into to mail and bring it back to them so that they could renew it. But this time I guess everything is Covid. COVID ate my letter and delayed my whole process from dmv letter from DHS to EAD to I485. I don’t know what to do

if you have a lawyer, ask him or her to write a letter. that's what mine did.

@amrjzb my GC was already approved on May 6. I applied on June 15, 2021. I sent so many letters to Vermont Service center attach with every 3 month bill, credit card bill, termination letter from
my job too. and finally got approved on May 6,2022. it took 10 months and 20 days for green card

that’s awesome congratulations 🎊 I @skc kc think I need to send something as well but at this point idk what will work I had so many job offers and I couldn’t take any .

@amrjzb 15 I would recommend you too do the same. write a letter explaining that GC is really important to you, explaining that you are not working since last 7 months, write that you are a bread winner of your family, you have a job offer and can’t even accept that job because you can’t verify I9 or your working status for your job. attach with last month of rent due bill, CC due bill, cell phone bill, internet bill, utilities bill. hopefully you ll get reply from them soon. try to send that same letter every other week to Vermont Service center with your i485 receipt number, your name and address . good luck
