I had the same concern. I already had 2 doses of HBV, if I had to wait for the last dose, then the timeline for my rfe submission will elapse, so the civil surgeon did not document the 2 doses i had earlier recieved.. Apart from that all other expected vaccines and covid vaccine with booster shot were included. My suggestion is if you still have the time, you can take the HBV.

The Civil Surgeon I went to told me the i just need to have one shot of Hepatitis B for him to sign the form, rest I can take later.

@ Na Dhu, so as regards the date you took the HBV, he had only one date in your form?

@ A G, HB vaccine takes 6 months in total.

You can ask someone in India to get you the records. The surgeon only needs to see it

@AG if it's for the RFE you only need one dose for now and then can have the rest later, I just did mine and is only one dose I got.

@Amazing, My form is not completed yet, my other lab test are going on, but thats what the Civil Surgeon told me, I don't know how he is going ro record the dose or date.

did any one got notice for hep b and resubmitted your medical again

my parents were recently approves without hep B and so did ny husband so it is not needed

I have been asked to get hep b. hence my case is getting delayed now

@Martin, Vaccine requirements is based on age, and country of birth, especially if you are from Africa or Asia. Most people born in Africa and Asia don't get HB vaccine at birth, hence its requirement. It doesn't cost anything to get it done. It's also better to do it regardless of USCIS requests for one's health care.

amended hep b with previous blood work and submitted

will have to wait and see what Uscis does

got RFE and submitted on jul 11, got notice for hep b on jul 29th

My civil surgeon said Hep B is not required anymore today. I had already taken the shot but they are not updating stating it’s not required anymore

I though only USCIS is crazy but even the civil surgeons are it seems.. dun understand why could they not record it when the vaccine was already taken

the doctor wrote not age appropriate for me on the hep b part but I’m hearing people get RFE for hep b. I’m so confused. this is a long evil process

hi, I got an RFE on Sep 23 saying I got only one Hep B doze. Dec 19 is deadline. But it takes till Feb 10 till 3rd doze. what do I do?

@srinivas Hi, Could you please let us know your status of rfe, have you completed hep B? I had two doses. I am surprised USCIS giving notice for a hep B single dose even though the website says only one dose of vaccine is required at the time of filling I-693.
