Is K3 worth it?
I filed an I-130 for my wife on October 5th 2022, and she falls under a CR1 category as we have been married for 5 months. is it a good idea to apply for a K3 while awaiting 130? my case is currently being reviewed at California service center. the average processing time showing is 7 months on my online account, but I have a lot of people posting their timeline from California service center with more than 360 days. let me know what y’all think about the K3? thank you

please file for K3 ASAP! it’s free and I’ve realized those who filed for k3 under 5 months of filing i130 typically get approval quicker! I wish someone told me this earlier! do this asap unless you want to wait over a year! it won’t hurt

it's not proven that k3 will help your Cr1. however, it is free and some people belive it may help. I guess there is nothing to lose.

i would file one if I were you. i don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but they received my K3 app yesterday and my I-130 was changed to being actively reviewed.
It was free and it won’t hurt to try.

I would just follow the instructions on uscis. it’s fairly straight forward.

just a question if anyone knows the answer pls let me know
my wife will be traveling to dubai soon. on my I-130 I have indicted that she’ll be attending the interview in India as she’s originally from there and we got married there. but her family lives in dubai so she’ll be traveling there on a residence visa and will stay there until she gets to the US. so now that I am filing for her k3 should I just say that she’ll attend the interview in india or should I mention she’ll be going to the consulate in Dubai for her k3 interview? you think it’ll be a big of a problem ?
